Wie die schwedische Aftonbladet mitteilt, hat anscheinend die International Mind Sports Association (IMSA) entschieden, die International Federation of Poker (IFP) bei Ihrem nächsten Meeting als Mitglied zu akzeptieren. Dadurch würde Poker automatisch als Geschicklichkeitsspiel vom Internationalen Olympischen Komitee anerkannt!
"Die gleiche Anerkennung wie Schach und Bridge zu erhalten ist ein großer Durchbruch für das Pokerspiel" sagt IFP President Anthony Holden. Sehr interessant wird dann wohl auch die juristische Bewertung des Pokerns in Zukunft sein. Ein Spiel, welches im Rahmen der World Mind Sports Games 2012 in London gespielt würde, dürfte wohl kaum noch als illegales Glücksspiel betitelt werden.
